Dr. Pujato is an expert in bulk and single-cell genomic sequencing analysis, pipeline automation and software development. He developed genetic algorithms, image shape recognition, and automatic text interpretation using NLP. Biophysics and structural biology is another area of expertise. He has modeled macro-molecular complexes and developed peptide inhibitors.

Dr. Herrera is an expert in sequence analysis and 3D molecular modeling. He merges experimental data, docking and molecular dynamics (MD) to simulate complexes. Dr. Herrera developed software to analyze complex MD trajectories. Specifically, he has applied it to biological membranes and protein-protein interactions. In the drug discovery area, he performs de novo drug design and finds targets for known molecules, implicating new diseases.
